Oculoplastic surgery is a subspecialty within ophthalmology that concentrates in reconstructing or enhancing the aesthetics of the eye area. It addresses ptosis, entropion, and ectropion, as well as eyelid surgery, blepharospasms and more.
At KMN EyeCare, our oculoplastic surgeons have gathered years of experience in providing the best result possible through minimally invasive procedures with shorter recovery periods.

As we age, the skin becomes thinner, less elastic, looser, and begins to sag. Combined with weaker facial muscles, the aging process deteriorates the skins appearance, particularly around the eye. Furthermore, loose skin can eventually restrict one’s peripheral vision. KMN EyeCare aesthetic eye surgery, namely blepharoplasty, rejuvenates this area, removing years from one’s face. This oculoplastic surgical process consists of removing excess skin, muscle, or fat surrounding the eye with RadioLase technology. RadioLase is a surgical method that utilizes high-frequency radio waves to provide faster, less invasive surgery that results in less bleeding than traditional methods. Furthermore, KMN EyeCare also provides oculoplastic surgery in the form of a “double eyelid procedure,” which is often requested by patients of Asian origin. Each of these surgeries are performed on an outpatient basis under local anaesthesia.
KMN EyeCare offers Botox injections around the eye, which have been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as a safe and effective procedure in addressing aging facial appearances as well as blepharospasms, or involuntary spasms or closure of the eyelids. Botox also provides patients with a fresh and youthful appearance. In general, Botox is usually applied to the glabella, or the area between the eye brows, the periorbital crow’s feet, or soft lines around the edges of our eye lids, and the brow itself.
In addition to restoring the appearance, oculoplasty as a reconstructive eye surgery also serves to restore the functions of the area that are often affected by anatomic changes. The oculoplastic team at KMN EyeCare performs surgeries that treat the following conditions and more:
